Poland to Lithuania

The golf destination that's been next door all along

Warsaw to Vilnius: a 70-minute flight or a straight road trip through familiar terrain. Shared history, shared border, zero hassle. Lithuania's championship golf is closer to Warsaw than Krakow is. And we handle every detail of your corporate event, from the moment you cross the border to the moment you head home.

Two ways to get here

Fly: 1h 10m

LOT Polish Airlines and Ryanair operate daily Warsaw-Vilnius flights. Also connections from Krakow and Gdansk. Quick, cheap, and the clubs travel in the hold.

Drive: 4.5-5 hours

Via Baltica (E67) from Warsaw through Bialystok, across the border at Budzisko/Kalvarija. Good road, minimal border wait (both Schengen). Bring your own clubs, stop for Lithuanian fuel prices.

Neighbours by history, partners by choice

Poland and Lithuania: 400 years of shared heritage, and now shared fairways

The Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth lasted over two centuries. The cultural, economic, and personal ties between our countries didn't end when the borders were redrawn. Today, Polish companies are among the largest investors in Lithuania, and cross-border business is constant. Thousands of Poles live and work in Vilnius, and the two capitals are connected by flights, buses, and a road that's getting better every year.

All of which makes Lithuania the most natural corporate golf destination for Polish companies. It's not an exotic trip -- it's a short hop to a familiar-feeling country where everything runs smoothly, the business culture is compatible, and the reception is warm.

Polish corporate golf has been growing rapidly. More Polish companies are using golf events for client entertainment, team building, and networking. But the Polish course calendar fills up fast in summer, and the most popular venues around Warsaw and Krakow book out months ahead for weekend corporate events.

Lithuania solves that. A 70-minute flight from Warsaw puts your group at a championship course that's rarely crowded, even in peak season. Your team gets a fresh destination experience -- a different country, a different course, a different conversation starter with clients -- without the long-haul logistics.

What you get

Championship golf and personal service

Capitals Golf Club

An 18-hole championship course spread across 140 hectares of Natura 2000 protected landscape. Morainic terrain provides natural elevation changes that make every hole distinctive -- rolling hills, mature forest corridors, and views that stretch across unspoiled countryside.

The green fee is EUR 65 for a full 18-hole round. The course is well-maintained, the greens are true, and the pace of play is relaxed because there's no overcrowding. Polish golfers who know courses like Modry Las or Krakow Valley will find Capitals a worthy peer -- different in character (more forest and hills, less links-style), but equal in quality.

US GOLF INK voted it the best new international golf project in 2008. The course has matured beautifully since then, and the infrastructure -- clubhouse, restaurant, pro shop, practice facilities -- serves corporate events well.

Our service

We're Pink Soup Golf -- a small team that handles corporate golf events end-to-end. When you work with us, you talk to real people who know your event personally. There's no call centre, no handoffs between departments.

For Polish groups, we handle: flight or drive logistics, hotel bookings in Vilnius or near the course, all transport (airport transfers or meeting points for driving groups), tee times and course setup, coaching for beginners, catering, dinner reservations, prizes, and on-site coordination on the day.

You send us the dates and the guest list. We come back with a complete proposal. One document, one price, everything included. If something needs adjusting, we iterate until it's right. Then you approve it, show up, and focus on your guests while we run the logistics.

Costs

Competitive with domestic Polish events -- with the added impact of an international trip

Here's what makes Lithuania compelling for Polish organisers: the all-in cost is often comparable to hosting a similar event at a top Polish course, especially around Warsaw. But your guests experience an international trip -- different country, different city, a genuine "event" rather than just another round of golf.

Lithuanian prices for hotels, restaurants, and services are slightly lower than Poland's major cities. A 4-star hotel in Vilnius Old Town runs EUR 60-90 per night. A superb 3-course dinner is EUR 20-30 per person. Green fees are EUR 65. When you add up the total package including a budget flight, it's genuinely competitive with a weekend at a premium Polish course.

The difference is in perception. Telling a client "we're hosting a golf day at a course outside Warsaw" is fine. Telling them "we're flying you to Lithuania for a championship golf experience" is memorable. For the same budget, Lithuania delivers outsized impact.

EUR 65

Green fee for 18 holes at Capitals Golf Club. Comparable to top Polish courses, but with the novelty of playing abroad.

EUR 60-90

4-star hotel per night in Vilnius Old Town. Walking distance to restaurants, bars, and centuries of history.

EUR 30-60

Ryanair or LOT one-way from Warsaw. Book 6 weeks out for the best group rates.

Road trip option

Driving from Poland? Here's how it works.

Many Polish corporate groups prefer to drive -- especially from Warsaw, Bialystok, or the northeast. The route is straightforward: take the E67/Via Baltica north through Bialystok, cross the Lithuanian border at Budzisko/Kalvarija (both countries are Schengen, so there's usually no stop), and continue to Vilnius or directly to the Kaunas area where the course is.

From Warsaw city centre to Capitals Golf Club is roughly 500 km -- about 5 hours with a stop. From Bialystok, it's closer to 3.5 hours. If your group is based in northeastern Poland, the drive is actually more practical than flying.

For driving groups, we adapt our service: we arrange hotel parking, provide detailed route instructions, set meeting times at the course, and coordinate everything from the moment you arrive. Some groups make the drive part of the experience -- stopping at the Augustow Canal on the Polish side, or grabbing lunch in the Lithuanian border town of Marijampole.

One practical bonus: Lithuanian fuel is usually cheaper than Polish fuel, and the roads on the Lithuanian side are well-maintained. The drive is easy, scenic, and hassle-free.

FAQ

Common questions from Polish groups

Can we drive from Warsaw to the golf course instead of flying?
Absolutely. It's about 4.5-5 hours from Warsaw to Vilnius via the Via Baltica (E67). The road is good -- dual carriageway for most of the route. Some Polish groups prefer driving, especially if they're bringing their own clubs and want flexibility. We can arrange hotel parking and provide detailed directions. If you fly, Warsaw to Vilnius is just 1 hour 10 minutes with LOT or Ryanair.
Is there a language barrier?
Not really. English is widely spoken in Lithuanian hotels, restaurants, and at the golf course. But here's a bonus: there are enough cultural and linguistic overlaps between Polish and Lithuanian that basic communication is even easier. Many Lithuanians understand some Polish, especially in the Vilnius region where there's a significant Polish-speaking community. Our team communicates in English, but you'll find Lithuania feels very familiar.
How does Lithuanian golf compare to Polish courses?
Poland's golf scene has grown enormously in the last decade -- you have excellent courses like Modry Las, Krakow Valley, and Sand Valley. Capitals Golf Club sits comfortably in that tier: 18 holes, championship layout, 140 hectares of Natura 2000 protected terrain. The main difference is exclusivity. Lithuanian courses are far less crowded than popular Polish courses, and the green fee at EUR 65 is very competitive. It's not better or worse than Polish golf -- it's a fresh course in a neighbouring country that your team hasn't played yet.
What's the best time of year for a corporate golf trip?
June through August is prime time -- warm, long days, the course in peak condition. September is also excellent: fewer visitors, golden autumn light, and still warm enough for comfortable golf. The season runs May through September. For corporate events, we recommend booking 6-8 weeks ahead for summer weekends.
