United Kingdom to Lithuania
Forget the Algarve. Your next corporate golf trip is somewhere nobody expects.
Every UK corporate golf trip goes to Spain or Portugal. Same courses, same crowds, same inflated prices. Lithuania is the curveball that works: a championship 18-hole course in a nature reserve, under 3 hours from London, and your GBP goes absurdly far. We handle everything -- you just show up and play.

An honest conversation
Spain was great. In 2005. Let's talk about now.
The UK is Europe's biggest golf market. British golfers understand quality, they understand value, and they've been on enough corporate golf trips to know the difference between a good one and a forgettable one. The problem is that the default options haven't changed in 20 years.
Spain and Portugal are the usual suspects. They're fine destinations, genuinely. But consider what you're actually getting: a 3-hour flight, a green fee of EUR 100-200, a resort that's seen a thousand corporate groups this year, and an experience that everyone in your industry has already had. The wow factor has worn off. It's become the safe choice, not the smart choice.
Lithuania flips the script. The flight from London is 2 hours 45 minutes -- shorter than Malaga. Ryanair and Wizzair both fly direct, daily, and tickets are often ridiculously cheap. You land in Vilnius, we pick you up, and within an hour you're at Capitals Golf Club -- a proper 18-hole championship course on 140 hectares of protected land.
The green fee is EUR 65. In the UK, that barely gets you on a decent municipal course. In Lithuania, it gets you 18 holes on a course that was voted best new international golf project by US GOLF INK. The comparison isn't close.
But it's not just about cost. It's about the experience. The course is rarely crowded -- you might have it to yourselves. The surroundings are genuine nature, not manicured resort landscaping. The clubhouse has real food, not reheated golf club catering. And when the round is done, you head into Vilnius -- a UNESCO-listed Old Town with excellent restaurants, bars, and nightlife that's vibrant without being obnoxious.
The GBP advantage
Your budget goes further than you'd believe
Lithuania's cost of living is roughly 40-50% lower than the UK's. That gap isn't visible in quality -- it's visible in pricing. Hotels, restaurants, transport, and golf are all dramatically cheaper, while the standard of service is genuinely high.
For a UK organiser, this means you can either deliver the same event for much less money, or deliver a significantly better event for the same budget. Most of our UK clients choose the latter -- upgrading from standard to premium because the Lithuanian pricing makes it possible.
A typical UK corporate golf day runs GBP 150-300 per person domestically. For that same budget per person, we deliver a full two-day trip: flights, hotel, transfers, 18 holes, coaching, dinner, and event coordination. It sounds too good to be true, and then you see the proposal and it's not. It's just Lithuania.

The course
Capitals Golf Club -- a proper course, not a holiday park
British golfers have high standards. You've played links courses in Scotland, parkland courses in Surrey, heathland courses in Berkshire. You know what separates a good course from a great one.
Capitals Golf Club earns your respect on its own merits. Eighteen holes across 140 hectares of Natura 2000 protected landscape -- morainic hills, mature forest, wildlife corridors. The course design uses natural contours rather than manufactured features. Every hole has character, every approach demands thought.
The pace of play is what British golfers notice first. There's no waiting. The tee times are spaced generously, the course doesn't overbook, and you're not following five groups ahead of you to every green. An 18-hole round takes the time an 18-hole round should take.
The clubhouse is solid without being pretentious -- good food, proper bar, comfortable terrace with views across the course. It's the kind of club where you'd happily spend time before and after your round. Not a resort clubhouse with gift shop and spa; a golfer's clubhouse with real food and real conversation.
Getting there
London to the first tee: the practicalities
Flights
Ryanair flies London Stansted to Vilnius daily (2h 45m) and to Kaunas several times weekly. Wizzair flies from London Luton to Vilnius. Early booking gets you GBP 20-40 one-way. For groups, we coordinate bookings to ensure everyone's on the same flight. Some UK regional airports (Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham) have seasonal connections too -- ask us and we'll check.
Visa & entry
Post-Brexit, UK citizens can visit Lithuania visa-free for up to 90 days. You'll need a passport (not an ID card). No ETIAS is required at the time of writing -- check gov.uk for the latest. In practice, it's the same ease of travel as any European holiday.
Time zone
Lithuania is GMT+2 (EET), so 2 hours ahead of the UK. Not enough to cause jet lag, but enough to give you early evening sunshine when it's still afternoon in London. You can play 18 holes and have dinner without it getting dark.
What we arrange
Everything. Flight recommendations, private airport transfers, hotel in Vilnius Old Town, transport to and from the course, tee times, cart hire, coaching for any beginners in your group, on-course catering or restaurant dinner, prizes, branding. One proposal covers the lot. You approve it, we execute it, and a member of our team is on-site throughout.
